








Lentil Party, September 16, 5:30-8:00
A fun-filled night around the island enjoying all the flavors of India featuring a variety of lentils. Srirupa will share techniques and the best places to shop for ingredients and spices in these flavorful dishes. Menu will include:
White rice: Basmati rice/ Kaal Jeera rice
Musoor dal (red lentils cooked with onion, garlic and multiple seeds)
Toor dal (split pigeon peas cooked with dry fenugreek leaves, tomatoes, and other dry spices)
Dhoka curry (Chana dal /split Bengal gram fritters cooked in a delicious sauce)
Mung Dal (yellow split gram cooked with spinach and ground turkey/beef)
Dessert made with lentils, nuts, and raisins
Chef’s Table (you will sit around the island, the chef cooks and teaches little tricks of the trade while you taste and savor the food). Recipes will be provided.
